There are very few wedding photographers who can capture the emotion, excitement, and experience like Ethan. When looking for a photographer, we were immediately drawn to Ethan’s style, framing, composition, and overall aesthetic (check out his website to see his work!). His ability to see beyond the obvious results in an artistic representation of the entire day.
Where some photographers see obstacles, Ethan sees filters and focal points. Shooting through wine glasses on a table, he gives shots an ethereal halo and using the roof of a car, the photo is grounded against a bright blue arc. The depth of field he’s able to achieve and his use of afternoon sunlight (his favorite!) is impeccable. Each wedding he shoots is unique because he uses his current surroundings, and you’re not left with your typical wedding photo.
We also used EYP for our engagement photos and valued the time not only documenting that part of our story but also getting to know Ethan and Karis. It definitely made a difference when it came to our wedding day. We learned Ethan’s tricks for helping us look natural and grew comfortable in front of the camera. Unfortunately Karis wasn’t able to be at our wedding, but Ethan filled the role with a good friend of his who is also a professional photographer. While we missed Karis greatly, Mark did a wonderful job filling in. As another review said, you don’t even know that Ethan is around. He was able to capture every moment and get up close during our ceremony but not at the expense of our guests, wedding party, or pastor.

We are SO happy to have worked with Ethan for our wedding photographs. Finding a photographer was one of our most important decisions so it means so much to us to be able to say that we are incredibly happy and thankful to have the pictures Ethan was able to capture for our wedding.
Our photographs tell a candid story of our special day, portraying the joyful emotions that were involved, the details that brought the personal nature of our wedding to life, and the celebratory atmosphere from beginning to end.
Another reason why we loved working with Ethan is because he was able to put us at ease before and during the wedding day, naturally making us trust that he knew what he was doing. Ethan Yang Photography is truly the best of the best! He has an artistic ability to capture moments that are uniquely amazing. His creative style is like non other and his pictures truly tell a story that brings out a flood of happy emotions. Our first meeting with Ethan was awesome! He was so professional and was very detail oriented in the services he provided and even brought sample work he had done in the past. He was very personable, asking us questions to get to know us as a couple and also listened to what we were looking for in our photos. He even gave great suggestions and recommendations on vendors he has worked with in the past which helped in our early stages of the whole wedding planning process. Fast forward, and it was time for our engagement shoot. One thing about EYP is that they are very prompt in their email responses and always lets you know what is to be expected even with their super busy schedule. We were so nervous taking our photos but Ethan makes you feel very comfortable! We even got to meet his sidekick which is his beautiful wife, Karis who was so kind and sweet. The day really felt like just hanging out with some good friends :).
Wedding Day: Ethan and Karis arrived on time to our getting ready spot and got to work right away. The whole day was flawless! They were like ninjas because you didn't even notice they were taking the awesome shots you don't even think could be possible. They work so hard and with passion. They truly go above and beyond of what is expected! After a month and a half after our wedding, I get an email from Ethan with a complimentary slideshow of the flow of our wedding. It was so beautifully done I must have watched it a 100 times! It was perfect and makes me want to relive the day all over again. We can't wait for the rest! Ethan's Niche In Photography Stems From His Background In Film From Maryland Institute College Of Art And His Abiding Passion For The Arts. He Has The Ability To Capture Moments As If They Were Stills From A Film And He Approaches His Work With The Utmost Diligence And Detail. Perhaps These Traits Pay Homage To The Training He Received While Serving In The United States Marine Corp, Or Perhaps They Are Innate. Nonetheless, His Work Aims To Exhibit Its Own Beautiful Story.
